"US Air Force 68th Birthday" - Celebrating 68 years ago today with the creation of the US Air Force! The US Air Force was established on September 18, 1947 just after World War 2 when the Army Air Forces having proved itself a military might during the war. With the branch getting too large to continue being a part of the US Army, it was split to become the United States Air Force. 68 years later, the USAF has some of the most high tech, cutting edge, stealth aircraft unmatched by just about anyone. Here's to you USAF, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
