War Bonds and Defense Stamps were essential for this machine to keep going, all bought by the average American. An investment into the war, depending on the type of Bond/Stamp you purchased or which different War Bond drives. The 7th War Bond drive raised over $26 billion, the most of the War Bond loans. By the end of the war, over 85 million Americans purchased over $185 Billion in War Bonds.
