When the war was in full swing for America, the home-front call to action consisted of several vital things: Get a war job and do your part, buy war bonds, ration, and conserve for the war effort. Cutting back on just about everything was require for the industrial might of America to pump out the tools necessary to push the war into the allies favor. From saving your scraps to giving up tires, nylon stockings, canned food, not going on vacation, not driving alone, to many other small ways that add up, these all went to the war effort to help keep the supply going.
