During World War 2, it was very likely you'd see many Public Service posters about doing your job correctly for all the workers on the home front who were supplying the grenades, guns, airplanes, tanks, etc that were vita for the US military in the war on both fronts. When so many military lives depended on how well a worker from back home built the grenade the soldier is holding, it was critical to make sure the jobs were done right! With the American home front in full wartime production, it wasn't just about quantity but quality as well as these products needed to hold up in all sorts of extremes. This is evident in the fact that much of the World War 2 weapons, clothing, aircraft, etc have lasted over 70 years to today!
